Position Details
Position: Part-Time City Manager
Market: New Jersey
Assignment Dates: ASAP – January 8, 2027
Schedule: up to 29 hours/week
Compensation: $850 - $900/week (W-2 employment status)
Training: Virtual and in-person training sessions
Dress Code: Based on daily assignment
Key Responsibilities
Event Management
- Oversee and execute all aspects of sampling events and promotional activations.
- Attend events regularly to ensure operational excellence and compliance with sampling guidelines.
- Complete event recaps, reports, and photo documentation.
- Manage local storage units, event inventory, and program assets.
- Coordinate staffing schedules and oversee event logistics.
- Support on-site event execution as needed.
- Manage program budgets and payroll.
- Transport and distribute point-of-sale (POS) materials and event assets.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, and schedule Brand Ambassadors.
- Coach and mentor teams on brand messaging, best practices, and legal sampling requirements.
- Foster a positive, professional, and high-performing team culture.
Client & Market Support
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local sales teams, retailers, and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal and local teams to share best practices and drive program success.
- Maintain timely, professional communication with clients and internal partners.
Qualifications
- Must reside locally within the Northern New Jersey market.
- Minimum of 1 year of management experience within the spirits, beer, or beverage alcohol industry.
- Previous experiential marketing or event management experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation with the ability to transport program materials.
- Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Skiing experience is not required but is considered a plus for select activations.
